  • I think Leo is a remarkable actor. With a few exceptions (The Quick and the Dead definitely comes to mind), I've enjoyed his work. I don't think we have to worry about him dumbing down. He appears to follow his own path. Hopefully we'll see lots more good work from him.

  • Is there no obligation to check out 911 calls simply based on the fact that a life could be on the line? I didn't realize it was the dispatcher's call to decide who was making a prank call and who wasn't. It makes me wonder why this particular call was considered a prank.

  • I only wish I had $500 to spend in the next quarter. Eating peanut butter sandwiches gets pretty old after awhile. What part of "we don't have the money because we lost our jobs or had to take much lower paying jobs" do you people not understand?

  • Can't spend what we don't have. I'm making less than half of my old salary and trying to get by. Just paying my rent, car payment, insurance, and phone is difficult. I've used up all the savings I had , but at least I paid off everything I could while I still had a bit left.

  • I am over 50 - in fact, I'm over 60. I'm not overweight. I have no health issues. I am educated (and, unlike you, I can spell and I can proof-read), I have lots of experience in my particular field of work. I have always been considered a team player and a "go to" person.

  • It's a way to cover themselves. The company that laid me off did the same -- a list with no names, just "Position 1", "Position 2", etc., race, sex, and age. of the 4 laid off on my floor - 2 were caucasian, 2 were black, 2 were in their 30s and 2 were over 50.
